Tamari Almonds


These almonds are absolutely perfect for healthy snacking. Tamari adds the perfect amount saltiness and unique flavor and keeps this snack gluten free!


  • 1 lb raw whole almonds
  • 2 tbsp tamari (or gluten free soy sauce)

Preparation Time: none

Preheat the oven to 350-degrees.

Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown on the inside. Turn the oven off. Transfer hot almonds to a large bowl and stir in the Tamari (the almonds will hiss and steam a bit). Toss until almonds are evenly coated. Return the almonds to the baking sheet and place in the turned off oven for 3-5 minutes to dry.

Loosen from the baking sheet with a spatula, then allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Serves: makes 1 lb of almonds
